Abstract Metal nanoclusters (NCs) with dimensions of approximately 3 nm serve as a crucial link between metal‐organic complexes and metal nanoparticles, garnering significant interest due to their distinctive molecule‐like characteristics. These include well‐defined molecular structures, clear HOMO–LUMO transitions, quantized charge, robust luminescence emission. Atomically precise alloy NCs, in contrast homometallic exhibit wealth structures intriguing properties, novel attributes often intricately tied the positions alloyed elements within structure, facilitating exploration structure‐property relationships. A notable subgroup this category comprises Cu−M (where M represents metals such Au, Ag, Rh, Ir, Pd, Pt, Zn, Al etc.) NCs. In review, we initially outline recent advancements development efficient synthetic techniques for emphasizing underlying physical chemical properties that enable control over sizes surface Subsequently, delve into progress structural elucidation This insight is instrumental comprehensively understanding correlations at level. Finally, showcase various examples NCs illustrate photoluminescent catalytic shedding light on diverse functionalities potential applications.

The development of nanoclusters (NCs) capable multicolor emissions for simultaneous detection multiple analytes has aroused tremendous interest. However, the current methods synthesizing NCs with mainly depend on a ligand strategy, which not only compromises stability but also alters their physicochemical properties. Herein, we propose novel strategy designing single-ligand capped bimetallic Au/Os fluorescence by adjusting size NCs. This size-controlled, encapsulation enhances and compatibility ensures uniformity in properties, thereby overcoming limitations inherent multiligand systems. By meticulously modulating reaction parameters, achieved precise tuning size, resulting synthesis fluorescent displaying blue (465 nm), green (507 yellow (560 nm) emissions. These were then incorporated into an array system differentiation tetracyclines (TCs) virtue interaction TCs through inner filter effect (IFE). Finally, each TC elicited unique response, was subsequently analyzed principal component analysis. sensor been successfully employed milk, urine, water, demonstrating its practical application potential. developed this work holds great promise
