Abstract The transmembrane transport of anions is a promising application synthetic anion receptors. Numerous anionophores have been developed for chloride over the past decades. Despite biological relevance phosphate and esters, very few reports on their by systems exist. Here we report systematic study diphenyl phosphate, phenyl inorganic five different anionophores. these phosphates into liposomes was monitored fluorescence spectroscopy, 31 P NMR an ion selective electrode. results experiments showed that readily transported most ionophores. more challenging but can be enhanced better shielding group. Inorganic to this achieved using macrocyclic anionophore with eight preorganised H‐bond donors. These pave way development as well esters.

Abstract The molecular design of a series perfluoroarylbisselanes (30–68 %) o‐ , m‐ and p‐ (Ar F Se) 2 C 6 4 12 8 =C 5 p ‐C CF 3 ) were achieved through the reaction Ar SeCu with diiodoperfluoroarenes bearing phenyl biphenyl rings. Analysis X‐ray diffraction (XRD) data for resulting perfluoroaromatic bisselanes – demonstrated their significant potential constructing supramolecular architectures tandem noncovalent interactions, including chalcogen bonding (ChB) π hole −π interactions. 1,2‐Bis(pentafluorophenylseleno)tetrafluorobenzene was cocrystallized dibenzyl ether, yielding adduct ⋅Bn O, which exhibited triad structural motif. Its XRD provided insights into ChB‐based catalysis mechanism Friedel‐Crafts type involving benzyl ether derivatives. Comprehensive density functional theory studies: energy decomposition analysis (EDA), electrostatic (MEP) assessments, van der Waals evaluations, (ED/ESP) plots, as well natural bond orbital (NBO) revealed that Se⋅⋅⋅O (10.1 kcal/mol) interactions (12.6 contribute comparably to overall energetics, thus playing role in guiding assembly.
