ABSTRACT The aim of this study is to prepare novel, efficient, economical, and environmentally friendly composites for treating the pollutants in wastewater. In study, sodium phthalocyanine cobalt sulfonate (CoSPc) composite was synthesized using (CoPc) liquid sulfur trioxide as raw materials, then CoSPc loaded on porous γ‐alumina (γ‐Al 2 O 3 ) through ultrasonic impregnation method first time. Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FT‐IR), X‐ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), ultraviolet visible (UV–Vis), N adsorption–desorption isotherms analysis were adopted analyze composite. Rhodamine B (RhB) model pollution used evaluate photocatalytic activity CoSPc/Al result showed that exhibited exceptional RhB degradation under potassium persulfate (PMS)‐assisted light illumination. Specifically, degraded by 95.5% within 12 min. Even after cycles, it manages degrade approximately 90% addition, only a very small amount PMS (0.01 mmol/L) can achieve excellent effects. conclusion, has great potential industrial application elimination organic dye
