ABSTRACT The pursuit of novel anode materials that offer high storage capacity, hasty ionic transport, good cyclic stability, and material recyclability is at the core research activities. In this study, we uncovered potential 2D puckered chromium ditelluride (CrTe 2 ) as a for multivalent metal‐ion batteries employing Li ions, Mg Al ions. structural dynamical stability was ensured via formation energy phonon dispersion curves. optimal anodic properties were systematically analyzed, with focus on its properties, electronic characteristics, adsorption sites, diffusion barriers, capability. exothermic interactions Li, Mg, host CrTe demonstrated suitability intercalation process in respective monovalent, divalent, trivalent ion batteries. capacity appeared 1745 mAh g – 1 LIBs, 872 ‐1 MIBs, 785 AIBs. open‐circuit voltage found 0.76 V 0.97 0.62 Al. barriers faced by atoms are to be low 0.26 eV, 0.55 0.42 respectively, which points rapid charging capability battery.
