As global awareness of resource scarcity and environmental concerns grows, sustainable manufacturing practices have become imperative. Additive (AM), with its high material efficiency design flexibility, presents a promising pathway toward industrial transformation. This review explores AM's role in sustainability across lifecycle: for AM, after AM. In the AM phase, strategies such as topology optimisation, part consolidation, cellular structures reduce usage enhance durability. During in-situ process monitoring closed-loop control improve reliability, reducing energy consumption failure rates. Meanwhile, adoption materials—metals, polymers, concretes, biomaterials—further strengthens potential to advance sustainability. After applications repair, remanufacturing, recycling extend product lifecycles impact, aligning circular economy principles. Future perspectives include integration artificial intelligence in-process development, along regulatory frameworks critical deployment. Lastly, emerging research trends advancing through are reviewed. Overall, this provides roadmap academia industry, offering insights maximise contribution more responsible future.

By the late 1970s, plastics had emerged as most widely used materials globally. The discovery, development, and processing of diverse polymeric have profoundly shaped modern life driven expansion numerous industries. Given widespread interest in utilization these materials, it has become increasingly imperative to design their cycles from outset. This approach aims maximize utility while minimizing environmental footprint. review identify analyze key challenges polymer applicable both additive formative manufacturing methods, emphasizing relationship between recycling within framework sustainability. Modern techniques play a crucial role enhancing sustainability products by improving potential (with consideration type, source, additives), cost-effectiveness, carbon footprint, properties such durability, lifespan, performance, impact. It will also explore concept circular economy its integration into including extrusion, injection molding, 3D printing. Additionally, current methods are analyzed with respect effectiveness, sustainability, compatibility original materials. Moreover, discussion emphasizes benefits compared linear one exploring concepts closed-loop open-loop systems, along applications depending on material initial method employed. To ensure that humanity continues benefit striving for waste-free environment, is essential integrate principles sustainable development very beginning.

ABSTRACT Elemental sulfur (S 8 ), previously the powerhouse of modern society, and waste cooking oil (WCO) are nowadays surplus industrial by‐products from oil‐refinery food processing industries, respectively, generating growing environmental concerns economic loss. These unavoidable wastes, which inherent in aforementioned processes, cannot be minimized without substantial advances technology and/or significant modifications consumer behavior. Indeed, there ongoing research activities to enable a powerful strategy for upcycling these wastes into valuable useful products, that is, conversion high‐sulfur content polymeric materials (also known as polysulfides). Among those activities, ones focusing on utilization inverse vulcanization (IV), reverse version well‐known process, provides facile straightforward method allows use S WCO derivatives respective olefin components essential process. Thus, this mini‐review brief overview recent outcomes, challenges, opportunities valorization toward synthesis discussed. Besides, exemplary studies provided illustrate versatility applications ranging energy storage heavy metal remediation, well prospects use. Practical Applications : Beyond highlighting existing applications, review serves comprehensive guide exploring new field, paving way future development. Crucially, discussion extends scalability, commercialization prospects, closed‐loop production strategies, evaluating feasibility waste‐cooking derived IV polymers next‐generation sustainable manufacturing green solutions.
