The study introduces an innovative Z‐scheme heterojunction g‐C 3 N 4 /ZnO/PPy (GZP) nanocomposite synthesized through a three‐step process: calcination, coprecipitation, and in situ polymerization of polypyrrole (PPy), with varied PPy concentrations (0.5%, 1%, 2%, 3%, 4%). Extensive characterizations confirmed the successful integration uniform dispersion ZnO on matrix, enhancing surface interaction structural stability. FTIR incorporation , while XRD XPS provided insights into crystalline structure elemental composition. TEM SEM revealed PPy, ensuring optimal interaction. UV‐DRS analysis showed enhanced visible light absorption, PL spectra demonstrated effective suppression charge carrier recombination, EIS indicating reduced transfer resistance, thus promoting superior separation transport photogenerated carriers. Photocatalytic evaluations highlighted remarkable efficiency GZP1 achieving 97% degradation Rose Bengal (RB) 93% sulfamethoxazole (SMZ) at low concentration 10 mg/100 mL, consistent performance over four cycles. Active species identified holes (h + ) hydroxyl radicals ( • OH) as key contributors to degradation. These results establish GZP promising photocatalyst high reusability efficiency, addressing critical water purification challenges.
