Abstract This paper proposes two novel predictive proportional‐integral‐derivative (PID) controllers for second‐order non‐self‐balance systems and self‐balance with time delays. For delays, traditional PID suffer from the drawback of failing to return setpoint after disturbances. Therefore, this introduces a double controller, termed PPI‐PPD which consists an inner‐loop PD controller outer‐loop PI controller. In encountered in practical chemical processes, delays can lead longer adjustment times, increased overshoot, divergence issues. order solve these problems, improved (PPID) is proposed paper, compensation link anti‐interference enhancement improves dynamic response disturbance resistance control system. Simulation results demonstrate that both exhibit excellent performance robustness.
