Abstract The adoption of electric vehicles (EVs) is crucial for reducing pollution from traditional automobiles. Strategic placement vehicle charging stations (EVCS) needed to meet demand while minimizing impacts on the electrical grid. This article outlines a practical method identify optimal EVCS locations within IEEE 69 bus system. transition EVs affects distribution network, requiring consideration voltage regulation, power loss, stability, reliability, and energy loss costs when deploying EVCS. To manage increased demands, recommends integrating solar distributed generation (SDG) units at strategic points in creating self‐sustaining study explores resilience system with SDGs through eight case studies (CS), examining deployment scenarios without SDG integration. impact slow fast EV objectives also analysed. artificial hummingbird algorithm used solve allocation problem, results compared other optimization methods. Notably, active decreased 224.67 kW (CS1) 53.35 (CS8), reactive was reduced by 71.4% CS8 CS1.
