Design thinking, a method for tackling complex problems creatively, lacks clear scientific underpinnings. This study explores the relationship between cognitive and psychological traits design thinking disposition in 588 young adults by using cross-sectional survey. Traits such as empathy (perspective-taking empathic concern), flexibility, ideation, visualization, openness to experience were measured. Using fuzzy set Qualitative Comparative Analysis multiple regression analysis, identified visualization key associating with disposition. Lower perspective-taking was associated reduced disposition, while higher concern correlated greater These insights offer valuable implications both theory education of thinking.
