Small- and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) face complex systemic challenges in managing digital transformation while pursuing innovation an increasingly interconnected business environment. This study adopts a systems theory perspective to investigate how digitalization enhances Innovation Performance by examining the dynamic interrelationships among adoption, drive, culture, Performance. Through empirical analysis of 201 Chinese SMEs using PLS-SEM, IPMA, ANFIS approaches, we reveal that drive fully mediates relationship between adoption Performance, highlighting nature processes. Although the Middle East is often perceived as politically, economically, and socially unstable, Saudi Arabia offers a different narrative. Inspired by country’s vision (Vision 2030) growing body of research exploring its socio-economic transformation, this article examines how organizational strategy theories practices can be advanced inviting researchers to focus on Arabia’s evolving context. To achieve this, addresses three pivotal questions: (a) Why should academics consider conducting in Arabia? (b) What topics could significantly advance practices? (c) are primary barriers Using comprehensive review existing literature, analysis, an evaluation Vision 2030 targets, identifies key themes: (1) socio-cultural dynamics their influence strategies, (2) economic diversification impact strategic resilience, (3) alignment foreign direct investment (FDI) with expatriate mission success.
