Background: The aim of this study was to explore the association between long-term exposure particulate matter with an aerodynamic diameter <2.5 μm (PM2.5) and its components severe obesity in children adolescents. Methods: Data for adolescents aged 9–18 cross-sectional were obtained from 2019 Chinese National Survey on Students’ Constitution Health (CNSSCH). PM2.5 Tracking Air Pollution China (TAP) dataset matched information these children. Logistic regression models used assess risk associated components. Results: A total 160,205 included analysis. Long-term may increase odds childhood obesity, effect being more pronounced girls. Among boys, component most significant impact organic (OM). greater low economic parental education level households. Children unhealthy lifestyle habits have higher due Conclusions: findings research support development strategies aimed at addressing children, suggesting that adopting healthy practices could mitigate There is a need increased focus economically underdeveloped areas those habits, particularly rural who do not engage adequate physical activity or get enough sleep.

Clarifying how to systematically manage ecosystem services is crucial for addressing urban-rural conflicts and promoting sustainable development, while service optimization offers an effective approach. The of encompasses not only the traditional supply demand but also entire process, including supply, flow, demand, especially complex socio-ecological systems. metacoupling framework can offer a feasible theoretical approach advancing spatial supply-flow-demand adaptively explain interaction relationships between urban rural regions. This study first explored patterns characteristics systems understand mechanisms, intracoupling, pericoupling, telecoupling, areas, fringes, areas. Furthermore, by integrating with process assessment approaches, we interpreted varied interactions nexus. Finally, metacoupling-based was developed, which considers reducing supply-demand trade-offs, balancing deficits, improving flow efficiency. constructed in this provides new research perspective adaptive comprehensive management urban, fringe, services.

The problem of spatial inequality in the regions Kazakhstan has been relevant for many years and recent this worsened due to socio-economic changes areas, consequences COVID-19 pandemic, negative impact inflationary processes, increased internal migration other factors. purpose study is analyze between 16 covering period from 2001 2017. following scientific methods were used study: historical method, statistical method. During research, a new class econometric models was developed, which are modifications Durbin model. These characterized by variable coefficients with lags dependent independent variables. evaluated based on information about Kazakhstan’s regions, using regional gross domestic product per capita as variable. findings show advantages SDM model fixed effects compared alternative models, confirmed results assessment criteria Akaike Information Criterion (AIC) Bayes (BIC). According model, 1% increase base year leads an growth rate capita, all things being equal. It also worth noting that unemployment contributes acceleration 0.451, An government spending unit region decrease neighboring region, lag coefficient indicates indicators one have region. indicate need use weights when evaluating regression models.

Recent observations have revealed unexpectedly high concentrations of monoterpenes (MT) in urban areas, frequently surpassing those forested regions. These findings suggest significant anthropogenic contributions (MTANT), challenging the traditional view that MT emissions are predominantly natural (MTNAT) current inventories. This oversight likely results a substantial underestimation MT's role ozone (O3) production. Therefore, we developed novel approach to generate gridded emission inventory (EI) MTANT, integrating flux measurements and carbon monoxide (CO). Results show MTANT rate Beijing core areas exceeds MTNAT by factor 1.83, with household volatile chemical products (VCPs) contributing 56% total emissions. Incorporating into Weather Research Forecasting Model coupled Chemistry (WRF-Chem) model significantly improved simulation diurnal variations (correlation coefficient, r = 0.985) reduced normalized mean bias (NMB) surface concentration predictions 53%. Notably, combined effects biogenic increased summertime maximum daily 8-h average (MDA8) O3 levels 12.8 ppb from VCPs (MTVCP) accounting for 62% MTANT-driven increase. study provides robust quantitative foundation assessing impact on air quality highlights urgent need targeted regulatory measures mitigate their growing contribution pollution.

In the process of social development, there is a contradiction between economic development and ecological environment. Western countries were first to experience inverted U-shaped model “destruction compensation later”, China also facing similar problems. To reveal formation mechanism dynamic evolution inflection point environment changes in China, this paper combines entropy weight method, analytic hierarchy process, quadratic curve fitting construct “Ecological Pressure Index—GDPP Model” studies pressure during China’s from 2000 2022. The study shows that key 2016 2017, which mainly affected by multiple factors such as economy, domestic international situations, policy adjustments. For example, implementation “Supply-side Structural Reform” environmental protection supervision system has significantly reduced pollution pressure. At same time, “inflection point” applied dynamically adjust PSR model, revealing stage transition governance focus. instance, 2016, end-of-pipe treatment was dominant (for weights emission indicators X5–X8 relatively high), while after focus shifted restoration space nature reserves X22 2.759%). theoretical contribution lies proposing concept “Policy-driven EKC”, emphasizing core role intervention addition, adjustment using better interprets self-transformation provides other developing with Chinese solution “institutional innovation first” EKC—Chinese for reference balancing growth protection.
