In 2011, the term Digital Twin was originally introduced by Michael Grieves to define synchronization between two realities: physical objects placed in a real space and virtual within space, linked through mutual exchange of data throughout entire lifecycle, both real-time asynchronously. Nowadays, is among principal emerging technological innovations Industry 4.0 5.0, enabling an interaction objects, Big Data, Internet Things, Artificial Intelligence. The construction sector, too, now exploring potentialities offered approach enhancing innovative, responsible, sustainable governance buildings’ lifecycles. Concerning these issues, this paper proposes visualizing future challenges with specific focus on operation maintenance phase its related impact decarbonization via critical literature review current statements. applied methodology based three different questions certain research issues performed Scopus database. selected findings were filtered, classified, discussed. Abstract Our research focuses on integrating circular economy (CE) and Lean Management (LM) within the manufacturing sector, a proactive response to escalating pressures of globalization, environmental sustainability, market competition. Through comprehensive systematic literature review, uncovers how CE principles can fortify enrich LM practices, role in facilitating transition towards CE, their combined impact performance, crucial factors influencing this integration. The findings underscore that significantly strengthen practices by advocating waste minimization resource optimization, thereby contributing operational efficiency sustainability. Conversely, aids optimizing use minimizing waste, aligning with sustainability goals. supports recycling remanufacturing employing Just‐in‐Time value stream mapping methodologies, augmented Industry 4.0 technologies for seamless Despite challenges like integration barriers need organizational change, synergy between offers substantial benefits efficiency, competitive advantage. paper enriches academic knowledge provides practical applications sustainable offering roadmap organizations striving excellence. Moreover, it also paves way future studies further explore synergistic potential through empirical studies, quantitative analyses, exploration technologies.

This study ranks and discusses the 7 dimensions of circular economy in context Industry 5.0 proposed by Payer et al. (2024): Energy Circularity, Circularity Inputs, Investments circularity, Establishment new businesses, Circular non-circular supply chain integration, product components, Compliance governance for circularity. The Hierarchical ordering (ranking) between these is done using Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) method based on opinion experts consulted (one expert each dimension). These also discussed main issues evidence within dimensions. Organizations that aim to move towards often need prioritize efforts start treating some aspects, so this ranking can be a proposal which prioritized scenario
