Nonlinear dynamical systems with control parameters may not be well modeled by shallow neural networks. In this paper, the stable fixed-point solutions, periodic and chaotic solutions of parameter-dependent Lorenz system are learned simultaneously via a very deep network. The proposed learning model consists large number identical linear layers, which provide excellent nonlinear mapping capability. Residual connections applied to ease flow information training dataset is further utilized. Extensive numerical results show that can accurately forecasted for several Lyapunov times long-term predictions achieved solutions. Additionally, characteristics such as bifurcation diagrams largest exponents recovered from Finally, principal factors contributing high prediction accuracy discussed.

We numerically investigate the forced synchronization of self-excited flow behind a plunging airfoil in ground effect at Reynolds number Re = 1000. On varying amplitude and frequency, we find rich array nonlinear dynamics, such as period-1 limit cycle due to natural vortex shedding well two-frequency quasiperiodicity on torus attractor (T2). For certain non-resonant frequencies without surface, that low-dimensional chaos emerges via Ruelle–Takens–Newhouse route. However, can be suppressed by introducing inducing direct transition from T2 1:1 phase locking rises over boundaries Arnold tongue. Apart suppressing chaos, surface also causes lift drag coefficients become less sensitive motion itself. Rate-dependent tipping that concerns the effects of rate parameter change on sudden transitions has been revealed in thermoacoustic systems. However, conventional models cannot accurately portray intermittent oscillations observed experiments. This study explores behaviors a system with secondary bifurcation, simultaneously accounting for coupling and colored noise. Particularly, model contains higher-order nonlinearities, which lead to emergence both supercritical subcritical bifurcations. It can qualitatively reproduce dynamics system. We perform transient analysis via stochastic averaging method explore influence mechanisms noise phenomenon. The results show exhibits phenomenon from desired state instability through intermittency. Interestingly, causes delay tipping, while its increase enlarges amplitude oscillations. In addition, changes an abrupt smooth large intensities.
