This study investigates the flow-induced vibration (FIV) and heat transfer behavior of three heated cylinders arranged in an isosceles triangle configuration at a Reynolds number 100. A dynamic model for FIV two-dimensional, elastically supported was developed using computational fluid dynamics simulations overset mesh technology. The effects aspect ratio (AR) angle attack (α) were examined by varying α from 30° to 90° AR 0.75 2.0, with = 1.0 corresponding circular cross section. To FIV, two-degree-of-freedom motion analyzed across range reduced velocities (Ur 2–12). results indicate that as increases, impact upstream cylinder's wake on downstream gradually weakens, resulting lower amplitudes higher rates cylinders. Notably, when reaches 90°, streamwise amplitude becomes almost negligible. At 45°, average Nusselt cylinder is generally than cylinder. However, 60°, noticeably As lock-in region shifts being concentrated Ur 6 8 4 6, indicating increase raises vortex shedding frequency.

A finite volume method and a full multi-grid technique are implemented to analyze the influence of alignment type three unequal-sized square cylinders on characteristics wake flow pattern fluid forces flow. Three-square with different dimensions C1, C2, C3 arranged for main combinations, namely, in-line arrangement, side-by-side staggered arrangement. Analysis patterns in regimes is performed arrangement Reynolds number (Re) varied range (1, 200). The second parameter type. including vortex shedding evolution vortices, force coefficients predicted analyzed arrangements terms streamlines, iso-vortices, drag (CD) lift (CL) coefficient evolutions steady unsteady regimes. Of great interest analysis combined effect adopted bifurcation emergence phenomenon CL CD profiles while predicting critical each configuration. numerical outcomes demonstrate that Re values three-square have prominent characteristics. study reveals regime appears at (Rec = 63), 76), finally specific value 146). Furthermore, time averaged explored discussed. It found causes strong reduction values, highest obtained combination.
