This study investigates the simulation of interactions between cells and antibacterial nanostructured surfaces. Understanding physical interaction forces surfaces is crucial for developing materials, yet existing models are limited. Force studies can simplify analysis by focusing on mechanical while disregarding factors such as bacterial deformation complex biochemical signals. To simulate these interactions, Atomic Microscopy (AFM) was employed to generate force curves, allowing precise monitoring a 5 µm spherical cantilever tip titanium alloy (Ti6Al4V) AFM uniquely enables customized approaches retraction cycles, providing detailed insights into attractive–repulsive across different surface morphologies. Two surfaces, created via hydrothermal etching using KOH NaOH, were compared Ti6Al4V control surface. Results demonstrated significant changes in nanomechanical properties due chemistry morphology. The exhibited 44 ± N/m stiffness, which decreased 20 3 KOH-etched (NS) 29 4 NaOH-etched NS Additionally, energy magnitude control. nature also varied: short-range predominant stronger long-range forces. These findings provide valuable how nanostructure patterning influences cell-like offering potential applications design. By tailoring through specific techniques, biomaterial performance be optimized clinical applications, enhancing efficacy reducing microbial adhesion.
