The negative effect of the traffic machinery and agricultural implements associated with little soil disturbance promotes an increase in density resistance to penetration. An alternative minimize degree compaction is its mobilization seeding row utilizing depth action shank. plowing on performance energy requirement a tractor-seeder-fertilizer combination was analyzed using completely randomized design. Oxisol clayey texture, submitted soybean corn cultivation no-till crop succession system. Using shank at greater cutting causes tractive effort, power demand, fuel consumption slip, reduces efficiency.

In agricultural machinery design and optimization, the discrete element method (DEM) has played a major role due to its ability speed up manufacturing process by reducing multiple prototyping, testing, evaluation under experimental conditions. field of soil dynamics, DEM been mainly applied in optimization soil-engaging tools, especially tillage tools furrow openers. This numerical is able capture dynamic bulk behaviour soils soil–tool interactions. review focused on various aspects application simulation opening for tool optimization. Different contact models, particle sizes shapes, calibration techniques determining input parameters research have reviewed. Discrete predictions profiles, disturbed surface failure, loosening, disturbance parameters, reaction forces, types modelled with also highlighted. pool information consolidates existing working approaches used prior studies helps identify knowledge gaps which, if addressed, will advance current dynamics modelling capability.

This paper presents the development of empirical mathematical models draught force, Fx, and vertical Fy, acting on duckfoots attached to tines with different stiffness working in various soil conditions. The consider technical variables such as stiffness, k, tool depth-to-width ratio, d/w, movement speed, v, moisture content, MC, which have not been thoroughly analysed literature. correlation coefficients for predicting Fx Fy values were 0.4996 0.6227, respectively. Statistical analysis confirmed significant effect these parameters forces tools, d/w v having most critical impact Fy. SLSQP (sequential least squares programming) optimisation method was used determine optimal variables. maximum value 438.55 N, minimum 98.98 variable at edges studied ranges. Similarly, 135.25 N −84.55 respectively, obtained. results showed good fitness experimental results, negative relative errors (from −1.72% do −4.81%), indicating overestimating, accuracy model’s predictions. justification research allowed us conclude that there is no basis rejecting explanatory hypotheses. developed a generalisable ranges, further should focus creating more universal, theoretical soil–tool interactions.
