For the issues of poor stability furrow opener depth, large soil backfill and inconsistent shape on a no-till seeder for planting green manure between rows orchards in South Xinjiang, double-disc, corrugated is designed. This paper analyzes law movement double-disc traditional openers using discrete element method (DEM) concludes that corrugation width number corrugations are primary factors affecting furrowing operation. When sixteen, forward speed six kilometers per hour, when seventeen half millimeters, simulation operation parameters optimal. The soil-bin validation experiment results as follows: Under condition an 80 mm average depth enhanced by 3.54%, working resistance disrupted area increased 26.16 N 220 mm2, respectively, decreased 10.98 mm. effect with discs high low resistance, small depth. study provides theoretical foundation design optimization components orchards.

Combine harvester leaves behind a swath of loose paddy residues, which interfere with wheat sowing operations in conventional seed drills. To avoid this problem, farmers resort to the burning residue, not only leads loss massive biomass but also causes environmental pollution. enable stubble fields, various kinds furrow openers were introduced by many researchers. Due high maintenance and low performance these are adopted up desired level. The main objective study is develop opener drill that overcomes problem existing like uniform seeding operation, least soil disturbance, better straw handling capacity. developed double disc (control) evaluated combine harvested field at three levels forward speed (1.5, 2.1, 2.8 kmh−1) height cut (38, 45, 52 cm) straw. results terms plant emergence, tillers per meter area, effective height, pinnacle length, number grains ear head, weight grain yield. fuel consumption was 12% less than double-disc drill. Whereas, average yield (4.6 t ha−1) higher notched concave Notched offers means drilling into without burning, eliminating air pollution nutrients organic carbon due same time as maintaining or increasing
