This
paper
aims
to
review
the
subtypes
of
childhood
trauma
and
its
effects
on
brain
structures
function,
especially
hippocampus
amygdala
within
limbic
system,
in

clinical
psychology.

purpose,

articles
published
between
1996
2024
were
systematically
searched
major
databases
such
as
PubMed,
PsycArticles,
Web
Science,
Google
Scholar
using
keywords
early
trauma,
psychological
hippocampus,
amygdala,
neuroimaging.
The
initially
screened
based
their
titles,
those
meeting
search
criteria,
including
study
population,
investigated
regions,
types
traumas,
further
assessed
for
relevance.
Ultimately,
136
selected
discussed
review.
Trauma
experiences

a
significantly
negative

While

understood
