Abstract Tobacco waste presents notable environmental challenges, such as soil and water contamination from nicotine other harmful chemicals, compounded by inefficiencies in conventional management. Converting tobacco into biochar offers a promising solution to address these issues. This study reviews the production, properties, applications of derived tobacco, using feedstocks stems, seeds, leaves, fines.
