Resilience has become a major concern to the global supply chain after COVID-19 pandemic. Although pandemic is hopefully tailing off, this study remains essential for future preparedness against disruptions in operations. This paper extends Public-Health Corridors (PHC) concept from international travel coordination operations, with underlying goals of reopening borders and alleviating social financial burdens. Very little been learnt very few guidelines are provided developing PHC that recovers research fills gap by providing architecture PHC. Game-theoretical models strategic government-private-public-partnerships (G3P) mechanism proposed demonstrate how effective can establish new norm economic activities under minimal additional It offers theoretical evidence possible approaches facilitate stakeholder collaboration launching Findings show implementation basic resume operations through appropriate measures investments, while well-designed G3P significantly bridges between norms pre-pandemic conditions. A targeted subsidy programme crucial profitability, well-crafted contracts achieving Pareto improvement reducing required subsidies.

Resilience is a frequently discussed concept in the context of supply chains, often likened to an immune system that plays vital role safeguarding against disruptions and facilitating recovery. Recognizing gap literature for constructs encapsulate chain resilience from perspective, this article introduces conceptual formal models drawing molecular biology immunology. Our reflect dual nature as composition preparedness recovery, interpreted through primary components systems—innate adaptive immunities. We discuss how certain analogies between systems, along with dissimilarities, can be leveraged enhance resilience. An system-inspired mechanism proposed using combination innate responses complemented by principles diversity redundancy. Finally, outlines potential research areas within domain (e.g., data-driven analytics, viability, ripple effect, complexity analysis, uncertainty modeling) could benefit application thereby contributing broadening scope current scholarly literature.

Supply chain resilience and the ripple effect have been widely studied, mostly focusing on material flow-related practices. The financial flow adjustments to cope with supply disruptions received much less attention. We contribute literature by examining impact of adapting payment terms during after disruptions. In particular, we perform a discrete event simulation analysis in anyLogistix for complex network investigate adjusting cash flows. Our results suggest that collaboratively is an effective strategy coping contrast, ad hoc immediate returns pre-disruption schemes do not yield visible improvements. The current business climate has generated considerable uncertainty and disrupted supply chain processes. Suppliers have frequently been identified as the primary source of hazards responsible for disruptions. Using a strategic approach to supplier selection that prioritizes providers with resilience features, mitigating risk exposure inherent in chains is possible. This study proposes comprehensive gray multiple-criteria decision making (MCDM) method incorporating attributes selection. To determine criteria weights, PSI BWM methodologies were used, evaluate prioritize resilient providers, MCRAT COBRA applied. According results obtained by suggested methodology, demonstrated greatest degree was determined be provider categorized SPIR 4. sequential sequence numbers follows: 5, 1, 3, 2, 6. data demonstrate developed produced accurate results.

Purpose Short food supply chains (SFSCs) have been extensively researched for their environmental and economic implications. However, these are now confronted with shortcomings such as chain resilience (SLR) societal livelihood (SL) hindering growth. The purpose of this study is to revisit critically analyze existing SFSC literature, a focus on SLR, SL, sustainability human-centricity elements, propose redesigning attributes SFSCs in the era Industry 5.0. Design/methodology/approach systematic review scope confined domain an analysis contemporary articles published British Food Journal (BFJ) . meta-data research papers sourced from Scopus database VOSviewer software used analysis. thematic, diversified geographies method-wise investigation bring theoretical insights toward building sustainable resilient SFSCs. Findings findings could serve fitting framework redesign resiliency, aspects economy, environment human livelihood, respectively. results also discuss prior accomplishments elaborate avenues future research. Purpose As the global focus on supply chain management has shifted toward importance of digitalization, resilience and sustainability to ensure viability, this paradigm merits special consideration in industrial supplier selection process a VUCA (Volatile, Uncertain, Complex Ambiguous) world. Additionally, increasing geopolitical challenges further complicate process, necessitating robust decision-making frameworks. Thus, paper aims present system using fuzzy inference (FIS) for evaluation selection, considering new criterion: viability. Design/methodology/approach Fuzzy set theory, particularly FIS, is used address subjectivity decision-makers’ preferences. The suggested method’s validity evaluated real automotive case study situations. Findings Seventeen key criteria viable were identified evaluate select firm’s supplier. chosen (B) demonstrated superior resilience, digitalization capabilities, making it preferable others. Specifically, exhibited exceptional adaptability disruptions, strong commitment sustainable practices advanced digital integration that enhances operational efficiency. Practical implications This provides valuable insights researchers professionals by proposing comprehensive system. Integrating diverse essential performance chains robustness adaptability, supporting more strategic amid network-related challenges. Originality/value novel introduces criterion, i.e. environment.
