Purpose This paper aims to investigate the moderated-mediation roles of career crafting as well leader-member exchange (LMX) between decision self-efficacy and psychological empowerment among ex-offenders in Ghana. Design/methodology/approach A purposive sampling technique was used selecting 412 at various religious rehabilitation units multiple regression analysis conducted hypothesized paths. Findings The findings show that LMX moderates mediated link empowerment. Research limitations/implications Guided by positivist paradigm deployed study, some methodological limitations such inability provide an in-depth explanation cause-and-effect relationships are worth noting for future studies explore. Originality/value To best authors’ knowledge, empirical work is unique, it first extend scope development through perspective recidivism emerging economy.

Growing evidence highlights the crucial role of defense mechanisms in context chronic diseases. However, few studies have evaluated impact these implicit emotion regulation strategies on adaptation processes related to inflammatory bowel diseases (IBD). This narrative review aimed explore patients with IBD and clarify their association psychological physical symptoms. A literature search was conducted using PubMed PsycINFO databases select considering IBD. Inclusion criteria were English language articles, diagnosis Crohn’s disease or ulcerative colitis, use validated assessment instruments specifically mechanisms. Six studies, including a total 664 patients, deemed eligible. Immature commonly detected significant effects health.
