Stigma and discrimination remain significant challenges to the quality of life social integration individuals with chronic mental disorders, particularly schizophrenia, one most stigmatized conditions. The paradox insight, in which greater awareness illness correlates poorer psychosocial outcomes presence high internalized stigma, provides a critical framework for understanding these challenges. This study examined moderation between insight stigma its influence on 83 male participants diagnosed psychotic spectrum disorders. Using K-means clustering, three distinct profiles emerged: (1) good minimal (2) poor mild (3) severe stigma. These showed differences depression, life, global functioning. Findings confirmed that moderates relationship well-being, exacerbating negative psychological health when levels are high. results emphasize need psychoeducational interventions normalize experiences psychosis, family community engagement reduce cognitive-behavioral therapies address stigma-related beliefs. strategies essential improving well-being supporting recovery this population.

Abstract Mistrust is a significant problem for people with psychosis and can interfere their capacity to engage in psychosocial treatment. Abstract How people in long-term recovery (clinical and personal) first-episode psychosis (schizophrenia bipolar spectrum disorders) experience the mental health welfare services they interact with is not frequently studied but has significant implications. We therefore aimed to explore which aspects of these FEP evaluate as important for their recovery. Twenty participants clinical and/or personal from two Norwegian follow-up studies after (TOP 10-year TIPS 20-year) were sampled this interview-based qualitative study. The research-team included service user experience. A deductive analysis based on accounts generated five aspects. Few specific types interventions reported promote although medications, psychotherapy employment support mentioned. Participants valued collaboration that focused resources rather than limitations. importance a consistent aim was highlighted, inclusion caregivers peers. Welfare contributed by supporting basic needs safety, some experienced social exclusion when participating labor market.
