Cybersecurity challenges are increasing in the rail industry because of constant technological evolution that includes Internet Things, blockchains, automation, and artificial intelligence. Consequently, many railroads supply chain stakeholders have implemented strategies practices to address these challenges. However, pace cybersecurity implementation railroad is slow even as cyberthreats escalate. This study uniquely integrates bibliometric analysis with a systematic literature review provide holistic view trends freight. The analyzes 70 articles focusing on freight industry, structured around four research questions relating to: (1) challenges, (2) measures, (3) emerging trends, (4) innovations. Key findings implementing comes numerous risks. concludes new threats will constantly emerge advancements. Therefore, there need for continuous human training, collaboration, coordination stakeholders. also highlights gaps recommends how can most appropriately execute best coordinate them various functions industry.

In recent years, virtual coupling (VC) has been becoming a hot research topic in railways. The coordinative control for the virtually coupled train set (VCTS) is critical technology realising VC. this paper, distributed adaptive of VCTS with considering parametric uncertainty and practical constraints studied. To begin with, third-order nonlinear train-following model formulated by uncertain resistance railway external environment actuator delay traction/braking system unit trains. After that, novel barrier functions-based sliding mode method proposed to realise all states tracking as well satisfy state (i.e. spacing speed constraints). Adaptive used alleviate uncertainty. Furthermore, combining these techniques, strategy designed not only guarantee stable operation but also effectively handle constraints. Finally, effectiveness validated simulation analysis.
