Although the number of studies into grit in second/foreign language (L2) learning is on rise, available empirical evidence still scant, particularly relation to links between two facets (i.e. perseverance and interest), positive enjoyment, curiosity) negative in-class after-class boredom, anxiety) emotions as well motivation. This case study aims to describe the implementation of gamification in an online BIPA (Bahasa Indonesia for Foreign Speakers) class and analyze ability Danish learners pronounce Indonesian vocabulary. The was conducted with six aged 9–12 years organized by Embassy Denmark. Reflective notes observation guidelines were used as instruments collect data. Thematic data analysis revealed that using Wordwall implemented through five types games: (1) Complete Word, (2) Hidden Words, (3) Pacman Game, (4) Word Puzzles, (5) Sentence Puzzles. Meanwhile, made four pronunciation errors: sound addition, omission, alteration, code-switching. Abstract There has been a growing emphasis on researching foreign language boredom in second acquisition recent years. However, existing research yet to reach consensus regarding the effect of learners’ learning achievement. To address this gap, present study employs multilevel meta-analysis analyze 47 sizes from 33 empirical studies involving total sample size 27,838 participants. The findings reveal that illustrates small negative ( r = -.24, p < .001) Furthermore, moderation analysis reveals magnitude varies crossing educational stages, achievement measurements, domain-specific skills, teaching modes, and contexts. Since the introduction of positive psychology, investigating emotions has become a prevalent concern for researchers within foreign and second-language classroom research settings. Understanding the roles of video cameras in online English courses: A qualitative inquiry into students and foreign lecturers’ conceptions DOI
