Despite the growing presence of digital Virtual YouTubers (Vtubers) in educational settings, there is limited empirical evidence on their effectiveness language acquisition. In this investigation, we delved into realm education to assess how visual fidelity Vtuber avatars affects acquisition Mandarin Chinese characters by beginners. Through incorporating a diverse array Vtubers, ranging from simple two-dimensional figures complex three-dimensional models, explored relationship between design and learner engagement efficacy. This study employed randomized tutorial distribution, immediate post-tutorial quizzing, realism scoring rubric, with statistical analysis conducted through Pearson correlation. The analysis, involving 608 participants, illuminated clear positive correlation: Vtubers higher levels significantly enhanced learning outcomes, underscoring importance content. research substantiates utility underscores potential creating more immersive effective environments. findings advocate for leveraging sophisticated foster deeper engagement, improve achievement, promote sustainable practices, offering insights future development strategies.
