Music
therapy
and
music-based
interventions
are
increasingly
used
in
the
treatment
of
speech,
language,
communication
needs,
music
has
been
extensively
applied
to
adolescent
groups.
To
date,
however,
there
no
published
work
examining
for
adolescents
who
stammer.
The
aim
current
study
was
explore
adolescents’
experiences
perceptions
a
group
intervention.
Four
stammer
participated
semi-structured
interviews
their
experience
intervention
consisted
five
therapeutic
sessions
conducted
at
summer
camp
children
Analysis
in-depth,
revealed
four
main
themes
several
subthemes.
Recurrent
variety
psychosocial
benefits
related
therapy,
such
as
developing
new
friendships
facilitating
peer
support,
increasing
self-confidence
self-expression.
