ABSTRACT In response to global efforts address climate change, biodiversity loss, and ecosystem degradation, the transition a circular economy (CE) has emerged as key strategy for achieving sustainable development. Financial institutions, particularly banks, play pivotal role in this by supporting companies through financial legal frameworks, network development services, advisory support, while also adopting internal practices. Given their central CE, banks are expected enhance transparency clearly communicating CE initiatives raising awareness. Despite this, disclosure (CED) practices among have received limited attention academic literature. This study, lens of legitimacy theory, aims gap examining level CED European impact certain bank characteristics—such size, age, Internet visibility, internationalization—on amount information disseminated official websites. The econometric analysis, conducted on sample 107 reveals that internationalization positively influence disclosed, age no significant effect. findings knowledge how manage communicate efforts, providing valuable insights policymakers, standard setters.
