Abstract In the rapidly evolving landscape of open innovation, understanding dynamics learning is pivotal for corporate success. Yet, constraints and thresholds inherent in novel technology sourcing processes remain under-explored. We study 163 firms during third wave venture capital activity characterized by primary focus on innovation to investigate effects ambidexterity (the simultaneous pursuit internal external sources innovative ideas) patenting realized innovation. Acknowledging limitations organizational learning, our results indicate presence inverted U-shaped relationship between suggest that beyond a certain threshold, increases are detrimental because boundary conditions experimentation as key element arise. Such restrictions alleviated slack, which enhances abilities orchestrate resources take calculated risks go existing competencies.

Purpose Digital transformation (DT) is a major challenge for incumbent organisations, as research on this phenomenon has revealed high failure rate. Given consideration, paper reviews the literature DT in organisations to identify main themes and directions be undertaken. Design/methodology/approach The authors adopt systematic review (SLR) computational (CLR) employing machine learning algorithm topic modelling (LDA) surface discussed 103 peer-reviewed studies published between 2010 2022 multidisciplinary article sample. Additionally, we propose three main research avenues for future PSI: (1) studying different contexts, (2) expanding analysis configurations initiatives, (3) ambidextrous strategies support practical implementation PSI.

The public sector is actively pursuing digital transformation to ensure continuous operations and relevance. While existing research has outlined essential prerequisites for successful transformation, there recognition of willful ignorance concerning these prerequisites. Public servants may in other words deliberately avoid understanding the necessary conditions often driven by strategic motives such as evading responsibility and/or accountability. phenomenon constitutes an important yet under-researched area within study government. To close this gap, we investigate latent factors utilizing three sets national panel data focused on Employing exploratory factor analysis initial sample, construct a model, subsequently assessing its validity through confirmatory two additional samples.
