Background:
Leveraging
healthcare
technology
improves
human
development
and
well-being.
However,
adoption
is
frequently
delayed
by
behavioural
psychological
barriers,
such
as
perceived
usefulness,
trust,
organisational
readiness.
This
review
examines
the
suitability
of
Unified
Theory
Acceptance
Use
Technology
(UTAUT)
Model
(TAM)
frameworks
in
settings,
focusing
on
behavioural,
educational,
factors
that
influence
adoption.
Methods:
A
total
20
peer-reviewed
articles
from
2019
to
2024
were
examined.
Results:
The
identified
significant
obstacles,
including
a
lack
inadequate
training,
support.
While
UTAUT
provided
more
comprehensive
viewpoint,
it
needed
be
modified
include
context-specific
factors,
facilitating
circumstances,
educational
interventions.
Meanwhile,
TAM’s
emphasis
usefulness
ease
use
was
shown
insufficient
for
dealing
with
complex
situations.
Conclusions:
Interventions
targeting
stakeholders’
preparation
strategies
are
essential
overcoming
resistance
enhancing
trust.
Future
research
should
look
into
integrative
incorporating
psychological,
instructional
tactics
improve
healthcare.
