Suicidal thoughts often serve as a precursor to suicide, which is leading cause of death globally. In the Philippines, social work service users frequently present suicidal an area concern, yet absence standardized protocols and supportive systems complicates role Filipino workers. Guided by Rolfe et al.’s Critical Reflection Model, this paper contemplates helping process with user living passive thoughts. Using single case presentation, illustrates application Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT)-informed counseling approach. Preliminary observations from suggest notable reductions in distress levels underscore importance adapting replicating approach across diverse contexts. Additionally, offers relevant practice insights drawn experience. It concludes recommendations for advancing future research critical area.
