Smartphones and the literacy to harness educational affordances of photographs currently rest on bedrock second language (L2) education. Building social semiotic theory, this study developed validated a visual scale for smartphone photography (VLS4SP). Despite importance visuals smartphones, no valid is available in domain English teaching (ELT) measure L2 teachers' VL. In developing validating new VLS4SP, initially, some items were generated tested validity. Second, was through rigorous psychometric analyses. The results structural equation modeling (SEM) suggested existence 28 that represent established conceptualization VL literature three areas meaning metafunctions theory: representational, interactive, compositional. Overall, tapped upon two crucial technological factors ELT which paves way further research applications ELT.

Abstract The purpose of this study was to investigate the role visual literacy in enhancing learning effectiveness and enjoyment among elementary school students Jalpaiguri district West Bengal, India. Additionally, proposes a model for integrating into curriculum, offering educators policymakers pathways maximize its benefits future generations. A quantitative survey method with well-structured questionnaire employed gather necessary data. After obtaining permission from authorities, researchers co-ordinated instructors establish three-day data collection plan that accommodated their schedules. In total, 84 pupils were selected as sample population. revealed strategies traditional curricula can significantly improve students’ experience involvement. Tools such flash cards, picture books, maps, charts, ICT applications found enhance both engagement vocabulary acquisition. had positive attitude toward using aids, which led cognitive improved problem-solving critical thinking skills. also established graphical tools particularly effective second language acquisition, helping overcome fear acquiring non-native (English). Furthermore, recommends incorporating techniques across classroom settings suggests these make education more engaging, effective, child-friendly.
