Conservative anti-cancer treatment represented by chemotherapy and surgery lacks tumor-specificity could hardly resolve the problems associated with multidrug resistance (MDR) in cancers. Novel therapeutic materials cancer treatment, such as those anti-MDR or controllable features, represent a significant trend due to their advantages of high specific efficacy timely intervention progress. In addition excellent biocompatibility specificity, they can be utilized therapies that require ease operation, provided are designed detection sensitivity. this review, we summarize series recently developed exhibit these advantages, including immune-enhancing tumor microenvironment (TME)- responsive materials, integrated imaging capabilities. We also introduce advanced modification approaches impart essential targeting functionalities materials.
