Through a combination of variable- and case-based analyses, this research examines the factors influencing pro-environmental behaviors (PB) among tourists visiting small islands. Using advanced analytical techniques, including Necessary Condition Analysis (NCA) Fuzzy-Set Qualitative Comparative (fsQCA), we identify necessary conditions, explore sufficient elaborate on potential configurations resulting from intricate interactions between constructs, such as value–belief–norm, evaluation, experience. By categorizing influential tourists' PB into four exhaustive groups, study provides fresh perspectives existence multiple conditions. Specifically, highlight concept Sufficient but Unnecessary parts that are Insufficient (SUIN conditions), which helps uncover complex dependencies variables in explaining PB. leveraging SUIN framework, two particularly stemming experience construct, play crucial role manifestation

This study comprehensively explored the roles of corporate social responsibility (CSR), normative, and emotional factors in formation intention to select a responsible airline, based on Theory Planned Behavior (TPB), Norm Activation Model (NAM), complexity theory using structural equation modeling (SEM), fuzzy-set qualitative comparative analysis (fsQCA), necessary condition (NCA). The SEM results indicated that economic environmental responsibility, personal norms, anticipated feelings pride positively affect intentions use airline. fsQCA NCA identified complex causal recipes for airline predicted there is no single condition. Research findings contribute significant theoretical practical insights into tourists' decision-making mechanisms regarding selection airlines, which could further promote sustainable development competitiveness industry.

Purpose The investigation on the complexity of customer retention towards green products/services requires more solid analytical approaches. This study evaluated net effects antecedents and validity configurational causal recipes that lead to in hotel context. Design/methodology/approach combined structural equation modeling (SEM), a fuzzy-set qualitative comparative analysis (fsQCA) necessary condition (NCA). An online survey was conducted China evaluate consumption. Findings Research findings showed cognitive factors (perceived health benefits, product performance, responsible employee performance physical environment performance) affective (emotional well-being, feeling happiness, attractiveness pride), played distinctive role generating toward products. NCA found no factor essential order achieve retention, which indicates brand management should pay attention emotional alongside factors. Practical implications provide significant managerial for improving services business operations enhancing consumers’ approach intention Originality/value adopted mixed approaches investigate both linear nonlinear impacts potentially

ABSTRACT Reducing food waste is a critical global challenge, intertwined with broader goals of sustainable consumption and development. This challenge addressed by surplus mobile applications that connect restaurants consumers to minimize promote sustainability. study employs the Attitude‐Behavior‐Context (ABC) theory investigate key features these platforms influence consumer attitudes reduction behaviors, contributing Utilizing Integrated Generalized Structured Component Analysis (IGSCA) alongside single Necessary Condition (NCA), we examined such as real‐time listings, sustainability messaging, accessibility, discounted pricing, charitable collaborations. Results indicate collaborations are crucial for fostering positive driving effective reduction, while pricing did not significantly impact attitudes. Complemented necessity logic, findings extend ABC emphasizing essential role specific contextual factors in promoting behaviors. Practically, offers actionable insights platform developers prioritize features, enhancing engagement alignment objectives.
