Critical and updated alien species inventories are crucial to properly manage contrast biological invasions. After 6 years, a second update the inventory of vascular flora Italy is presented. It provides details on occurrence at administrative regional level and, for first time, floristic data San Marino. The checklist includes 1782 taxa (1673 species, 28 subspecies, 69 hybrids 12 cultivar groups not attributable specific binomial), distributed in 786 genera 159 families; 2 lycophytes, 13 ferns fern allies, 37 gymnosperms 1730 angiosperms. Among these, 154 archaeophytes 1628 neophytes. currently established 899 (649 naturalized 250 invasive), while 796 casual aliens, 1 assessed, 38 have been confirmed recent times, 4 considered extinct or possibly country, 40 doubtfully occurring Italy, unknown distribution 110 reported by mistake be excluded national level. Urban flora is a more and interesting research subject, in light of the ongoing environmental change biological homogenisation, since urban contexts are much diversified that natural ones and, therefore, they offer colonisation possibilities to allochthonous species or unexpected refuges for endangered species. We have, added our own contribution by analysing spontaneous vascular 7 cities Emilia-Romagna Po Plain (northern Italy), one culturally economically developed areas Europe. The global floristic list was 1305 species, spanning from 432 756 each individual city; 219 them were constantly present all examined. A notable richness phytosociological classes (43 out 75 known entire national territory) observed. Therophytes 35.4% spectrum, followed hemicryptophytes, phanerophytes geophytes. A comprehensive checklist of vascular flora occurring in the lower Sieve Valley basin (province Florence, Tuscany) is presented. Despite its economic and agricultural significance, this territory has been largely overlooked by botanists, resulting a substantial gap floristic information. The based on bibliographic analysis field studies carried out between 2018 2024. total 1034 spontaneous taxa (species subspecies), including 141 aliens, are reported for territory. Of these, 21 represent new records or confirmations province Florence 893 to Valley. Tilia americana L. Sequoia sempervirens (D.Don) Endl. newly Tuscany Populus × canadensis Moench nothosubsp. should be considered as naturalized alien region. Life forms chorotypes exhibit pronounced Eurosiberian affinities, with significant contribution from Mediterranean plants. This pattern aligns temperate continental climate area, which partially influenced summer aridity.
