Abstract Background The increase in life expectancy and age-related diseases, such as Alzheimer’s disease, is a global challenge. Given the drawbacks of pharmacological treatments, it important to pursue non-pharmacological strategies for dementia risk reduction. To effectively promote health well-being later life, multimodal, low-threshold, cost-effective lifestyle interventions are needed. Methods REMINDer monocentric, outcome assessor-blinded, randomized controlled pilot study assess feasibility impact an online (home-based live-streamed) multimodal intervention. 6-week (two one-hour sessions/week) mind-body group intervention will be compared passive control (waitlist with delayed intervention) using cross-over (AB-BA) design. was designed older adults includes music, dance-based movement, mindfulness. A total N =50 cognitively unimpaired enrolled into two arms block randomization 1:1 allocation ratio. Results Outcomes assessed at pre-intervention, post-intervention, follow-up digital assessments questionnaires. Primary outcomes include feasibility, operationalized by adherence rates, preliminary effectiveness latter changes self-reported mental physical well-being, Short-Form Health Survey (SF-12). Secondary cognitive, motor, sensory, emotional/affective, social, behaviors. Discussion provide evidence based on “Arts Health” activities. The COVID-19 pandemic had a devastating impact, especially on many older individuals. Outbreaks significantly affected accessibility and community engagement, making it challenging to maintain social connections with family, friends, society. Social distancing measures lockdown restrictions have been linked challenges in physical mental health, highlighting the urgent need for comprehensive strategies that can alleviate pandemic's impact foster meaningful connections, particularly adults experiencing age-related cognitive changes (ACC). In response, an online mindful movement approach (MMA) targeting loneliness psychological wellbeing ACC (n = 16) was implemented. This paper presents comparative analysis two case studies derived from parent study, examining of MMA ACC. Thematic employed analyze cases. participants reported decrease along notable improvements self-awareness, mood, connectedness. Additionally, they experienced enhancement their mindfulness practice discovered new ways use enhance well-being. findings suggested offered alternative platform provide psychosocial health benefits during pandemic.
