ABSTRACT In this paper, we explore whether IT‐enabled organisational transformation (ITOT) moderates the relationship between eco‐innovation and growth performance of microfirms. Our framework conceptualises ITOT in microfirms as a multistage process that includes: (i) setting digitalisation strategy , (ii) adopting advanced information systems technology (IST) artefacts (iii) developing in‐house digital resources capabilities . The analysis sample 5015 from 39 countries indicates eco‐innovations boost firm when coupled with formalised strategy, adoption IST (e.g., technologies characterise Industry 4.0) These findings contribute to growing literature by highlighting essential role processes play enabling sustainability‐led pathways for paper advocates viability benefits twin ecological showcases potential an economically successful net‐zero transition embraces

Abstract This study explored the synergistic effects of artificial intelligence (AI) on green innovation at national level by identifying three core activities in innovation: entry, exit, and sustained specialization technologies. Employing a comprehensive three-way fixed-effects panel model, we analyzed trends 139 countries over 30-year period. Our findings emphasize that technological capability, especially AI technologies, is more pivotal than economic wealth securing comparative advantages One notable observation path-dependent development technology, which suggests propensity for nations to build new technologies based existing strengths. A key contribution this “AI-Green Cross-Density” model. innovative method quantifies interactions between highlights role promoting innovation. The influence introduction has become pronounced recent years, particularly economically less-developed countries. indicate integration modern can significantly enhance technology sectors mid-to-low-income countries, providing vital insights policymakers striving foster sustainable technologically advanced future.

ABSTRACT This paper explores the twin transition in family businesses, examining parallel development of digital technologies and sustainable business practices, both which are part current European agenda for a more future. While not widely recognised their investments disruptive innovation digitalisation, businesses (FBs) inclined to perform incremental changes, often driven by longstanding commitment sustainability collaboration with internal external stakeholders. contrast makes them an ideal subject in‐depth exploration these transformative trends. The aim this study is adopt broader perspective twin‐transition analysis, incorporating social economic performance alongside environmental relation transformation. Therefore, we establish connection between triple‐bottom‐line (TBL) approach unique reality FBs. Our research based on interviews conducted across multiple studies that explore FB dynamics digitalisation different industries countries, supplemented insights from secondary data. We analyse data through directed qualitative content analysis. By adopting sustainability—shifting exclusive focus dimension TBL approach—our findings position FBs as key players transition, excelling at addressing challenges fostering innovation. These companies should prioritise aligning strategies equitable, viable bearable principles line socio‐emotional wealth, engaging younger generations implementing work–life balance initiatives enhance employee satisfaction sustainability. Most can also be replicated non‐family establishing exemplary leaders journey.

Driven by the dual imperatives of global economic green transformation and advancement digital technologies, achieving synergistic enhancement through digitalization greenization to promote sustainable development has become a focal point for both academia practical fields. This study, utilizing sample Chinese A-share listed companies from 2010 2023, aims explore transformative potential digital–green synergy (DGS) enhancing enterprise within realm production efficiency improvement. Employing coupling coordination model based on entropy-weighted TOPSIS method, research measures DGS levels enterprises. Grounded in strategic theory, resource-based view, dynamic capability this study thoroughly investigates direct impacts corporate TFP, intermediary mechanisms, moderating effects, heterogeneous roles. The findings robustly demonstrate that can significantly improve TFP optimizing resource allocation, reducing cost stickiness, operational efficiency, thereby facilitating reorganization factors creation value. Furthermore, external factors, such as financing constraints environmental regulation, alongside internal organizational like executive characteristics, are shown exert significant effects effectiveness DGS. In summary, not only highlights crucial role driver high-quality pursuit goals but also provides important theoretical guidance policymakers incentivize transformation. It offers insights managers strategically formulate strategies, enhance benefits, achieve long-term performance. Beyond these implications, further enriches landscape first extending theory firm-level emerging markets; second sustainability adopting broader “environment-society” framework; methodologically innovating developing novel “goal-strategy-input-technology” measurement finally, deepening understanding DGS-TFP relationships mechanism moderator exploration.
