Accurate snow depth datasets are crucial for water resource management, comprehensive climate change evaluations, and the sustainable advancement of ice-and-snow economy in context rapid change. To create a high-resolution monthly dataset tailored Northern Hemisphere winter months (NHMSD), this study employed Delta statistical downscaling method, conjunction with spatial feature transfer technique, to refine data derived from 21 major general circulation models four shared socioeconomic pathways sourced CMIP6 project. The NHMSD stands as world's pioneering long-term 0.05° dataset, encompassing historical era 1980 2014 extending into future projections 2015 2100. Validation using 2062 ground observations has confirmed that outperforms reanalysis datasets, including ERA5-Land GLDAS, terms root mean square error, bias, absolute error periods 1980-2014 2015-2023. This facilitates exploration potential alterations under scenarios Hemisphere.

Abstract Global climate warming poses significant challenges to the ski industry in Northern Hemisphere. Here we develop an analytical framework by integrating downscaled snow depth simulations, machine learning techniques, and multi-regional input-output model estimate unemployment economic losses under global supply chain on show that 2060, Hemisphere decreases 20.74–32.13% reach a total of US $ 86.66–104.42 billion different shared socioeconomic pathways (SSP126, SSP245, SSP370, SSP585), presenting rapid growth trend with elastic coefficient significantly exceeding 1. Climate change drives transformations spatial distribution Hemisphere, Alpine countries, including Austria, Italy, Switzerland, expected experience steep declines growth. In contrast, United States, China, Russia emerge as new dominant regions industry. Once Alps beyond critical threshold 41.42%, propagate widely across scale. threatens employment livelihood snow-reliant such Alps. By 2100, climate-induced disruptions high 1.44 million job (SSP585) Meanwhile, abrupt increase risk hit middle-income countries China Russia.
