Abstract As more people live in cities, there is growing concern about the decline human–nature interactions, which negatively affect health and engagement with conservation efforts. ABSTRACT This paper examines how contractual governance in a public–private partnership evolved over 16‐year period. It adopts novel approach by revisiting an earlier analysis of Ireland's first PPP contract for school's infrastructure. We examine at two distinct levels: the management level (between government and contractor) operational school principals facilities managers). find that between contracting parties has remained transactional but is now characterized higher levels trust cooperation.
