The challenge of building and maintaining public infrastructure in the face climate change natural hazards necessitates greater citizen involvement decision-making processes. Coproduction aims to ensure equitable service distribution by engaging a diverse range citizens. However, literature highlights disparities, with certain citizens having resources for participation. This study explores how individual socioeconomic factors risk perceptions influence citizens' willingness engage coproduction. has been criticized excluding marginalized populations, we analyze multilevel shape participate two modes coproduction: co-planning co-investing. results indicate that perception is most significant factor driving coproduce. Furthermore, well-educated or wealthy are more inclined participate. proposes an inclusive approach coproduction, aiming delivery regardless status.

Racial disparities in homelessness are pervasive and necessitate sustained effort on improving racial equity homeless services. This study used a community-engaged approach qualitative methods to describe the role of informal organizations identified by Black adults with lived experience as preferred locations for accessing services explore values beliefs these organizations. The included representatives (N = 19) community 17) one southern city. Most participants (n 14, 73.6%) worked paid positions executive directors well volunteers. Thematic analysis three themes that characterized ways which interface another formal response system (HRS): boots-on-the-ground, is inequitable, cautious collaboration.
