With its interactive and captivating learning experiences, touchscreen technology has become a particularly promising new direction for music in recent years. This paper reports the preliminary study which investigates impact of touchscreen-technology-based multi-user collaborative musical instrument application middle school students‘ learning. Four secondary students were chosen as participants participated interviews non-participant observation. Beyond being classified as an educational tool, mobile phones are inescapable part of teenagers' lives, the interface for their "expanded self". In Spain, policy regarding use in schools is vague, so it interesting to know what teachers think about relationship between and adolescents. A qualitative approach was used analyse content 10 focus groups Spanish secondary schools, which 72 participated. Six thematic cores were identified that characterise image phones: regulations, school environment, students' digital literacy, teachers' competence, demands good use, insights future. conclusion, teachers, enhanced learning may remain a pipe dream unless young people educated literacy current policies these devices (for, against or indifferent it) clarified. Technological advances in computer vision and machine learning image audio classification will continue to improve evolve. Despite their prevalence, teachers feel ill-prepared use these technologies support students’ learning. To address this, in-service middle school participated professional development, students summer camp experiences that included the of Google’s Teachable Machine, an easy-to-use interface for training models.
