Individuals with Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD) are more susceptible to experiencing severe complications of COVID-19 if infected. Nevertheless, sub-optimal immunization rates have been reported among these patients. Our study aims assess VH a global population patients IBD and investigate the role healthcare professionals, particularly gastroenterologists, in promoting immunization. Twenty-six studies were systematically selected from scientific articles MEDLINE/PubMed, WoK, Scopus databases January 1, 2020, September 15, 2023. The pooled prevalence was 27.2% (95%CI = 20.6-34.2%). A significant relationship evidenced between vaccine compliance receiving advice gastroenterologists or providers (OR 2.77; 95%CI 1.79-4.30). By leveraging their knowledge IBD, familiarity patient histories, trusted patient-doctor relationships, pivotal vaccination. Individuals with Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD) are characterized by an increased vulnerability to complications stemming from infectious diseases. While these patients do not inherently face a heightened risk of SARS-CoV-2 infection compared the general population, their severe COVID-19 and subsequent hospitalization is notably increased. The objective our study quantitatively assess global coverage vaccination among individuals IBD, achieved through comprehensive meta-analysis systematic review. Thirteen studies were systematically selected scientific articles available in MEDLINE/PubMed, ISI Web Knowledge, Scopus databases, spanning 1 January 2021 25 July 2023. pooled prevalence vaccine uptake was estimated at 72% (95%CI = 59–83%) for least one dose, 81% 68–91%) complete regimen, 71% 46–91%) third dose. These encompassed Caucasian ethnicity, female sex, absence immunosuppressive therapy, advanced age, prior receipt anti-influenza vaccine, history infection, provision advice gastroenterologists, all linked improved compliance.
