Purpose: This study examined the cross-cultural validity of nonviolent communication (NVC) behaviors as measured using Nonviolent Communication Behaviors Scale (NVCBS) and explored their potential relationship with post-traumatic stress (PTS). Methods: We analyzed data from two samples (N = 412 Chinese adults N 283 English-speaking adults). Results: The best-fitting model NVCBS was proposed three-factor (“self-connection,” “authentic self-expression,” “empathic listening”), configural, metric, scalar invariance established across different languages sociocultural backgrounds. had satisfactory internal consistency convergent negatively associated PTS. findings were replicated samples. Discussion: NVC can be reliably validly NVCBS. Given its brevity measurement cultures, is a promising tool to facilitate future studies on NVC. Moreover, lack may social-behavioral feature

The extent to which complex post-traumatic stress disorder (C-PTSD) can be conceptualized as a dissociative remains an ongoing debate. This study investigated the prevalence and correlates of symptoms in people with C-PTSD. We analyzed baseline data from international randomized controlled trial. A total 165 intervention seekers who met ICD-11 criteria for C-PTSD completed standardized self-report measures trauma, symptoms, depressive work social impairments. In this sample, only 42.3 % participants exhibited clinically significant symptoms. Dissociative had unique association impairments our C-PTSD, even after controlling trauma exposure does not support theory that is disorder. However, findings highlight importance recognizing dissociation
