Introduction: The ongoing conflict in Ukraine has placed significant mental and physical health burdens on military personnel, including both elite combat troops injured servicemen rehabilitation. Understanding the factors that influence their outcomes is crucial for developing effective support intervention strategies. Purpose: This study aims to analyse relationships between negative indicators of (PTSD symptoms somatic complaints) personal characteristics (resilience, self-efficacy, Big Five personality traits) two distinct samples personnel: By comparing these groups, seeks understand how whether impact differs based context service. Methodology: involved 180 Ukrainian personnel (all men) divided into groups: 149 31 combatants Participants completed self-report measures assessing PTSD symptoms, complaints, resilience, traits. Descriptive statistics (means, standard deviations, ranges, skewness, kurtosis) were computed, independent t-tests Cohen’s d calculated determine differences groups. Pearson's bivariate correlations Z-tests conducted examine characteristics. Multiple linear regression analysis (using forward method) was performed construct prognostic models outcomes. Results: Injured exhibited significantly higher levels exhaustion, various complaints compared troops. In contrast, showed extraversion, emotional stability. Regression highlighted stability as key predictors reduced with varying predictive values across Conclusion: underscores importance mitigating impacts exposure within global landscape. Tailored interventions enhancing are crucial, particularly combatants. Future research should employ longitudinal designs larger further dynamics well-being a scale. addressing critical areas, we can develop more strategies recovery those affected by worldwide.
