In this manuscript, the application of hydroxyapatite coatings to total ossicular reconstruction prostheses (TORPs) using finite element modeling simulations was investigated enhance biocompatibility and mechanical performance these prosthetic devices for middle ear implants. We focused on evaluating biocompatible materials, particularly polyetheretherketone (PEEK) titanium, by analyzing their behavior under simulated conditions. The results revealed that PEEK demonstrates almost par with exhibiting excellent stability resilience within environment. offers several key advantages over including easier fabrication, greater availability, a simplified process coatings. These benefits suggest could be highly effective alternative titanium use in prostheses. findings study highlight potential improve design functionality implants, providing promising direction future research development field. By leveraging PEEK, we can advance effectiveness accessibility devices, ultimately benefiting patients requiring such interventions.

Metal additive manufacturing has emerged as a revolutionary technology for the fabrication of high-complexity components. However, this technique presents unique challenges related to structural integrity and final strength parts produced due inherent defects, such porosity, cracks, geometric deviations. These defects significantly impact fatigue life material by acting stress concentrators that accelerate failure under cyclic loading. On one hand, type model is very complicated in its approach, since, even with encouraging results, complexity calculation these variables makes it difficult obtain simple result allows generalized interpretation. other using more familiar methods, possible qualitatively guess behavior helps results better applicability, at limited levels precision. This paper simplified finite element method combined statistical approach presence porosity metal components manufacturing.
