Purpose This research aims to improve the efficiency of information retrieval in a construction or renovation project, aim is deliver right stakeholder at time throughout project lifecycle. Design/methodology/approach The approach involves creating knowledge graph-based semantic search system. system structured by developing an ontology organize graph, which will adhere linked data principles. Three key indicators—relevance, contextual awareness and integrity—are developed assess query results, ensuring that provides most accurate relevant answers for user querying data. Findings case demonstrated potential using principles facilitate communication between different stakeholders. With implementation indicators, ensured suitable answer was always provided query. Even if queried did not yet exist attempted find best available match. Additionally, proved effective discovery suggesting contextually directly queried. Research limitations/implications shows promise improving management projects, but some limitations remain. indicators used our assessment framework are designed support retrieval, certain parameters, such as exponents, arbitrarily set require optimization. while only three currently being tested, incorporating other could further enhance system’s effectiveness. Practical implications Our offers efficient specifically tailored field; however, (indicators) we created can be applied any search, attempt provide method assessing relevance quality searches. Social By enhances accessibility decision-making across various domains. contributes more sharing, reducing miscommunication inefficiencies collaborative environments. Originality/value A real study implementing development novel evaluation consisting main metrics. While each metric has been individually discussed literature, relationship actor, process described quantified ensure quality.

Purpose Despite extensive academic research related to digital technologies (DT), their integration into architecture, engineering and construction (AEC) projects lags in practice. This paper aims discover DT deployment patterns emerging trends real-life AEC projects. Design/methodology/approach A case study methodology was adopted, including individual analyses comparative multiple-case analyses. Findings The results revealed the temporal distribution of practical projects, specific products/software, major project types integrated with solutions, application areas stages associated performance. Three distinct adoption have been observed, reflecting evolution applications, progression from single multiple alignment industry requirements. behavior studied cases has examined using technology-organization-environment-human (TOE + H) framework. Further, eight trend streams for future were identified, “leveraging diverse features certain mature DT” being a shared recognition all companies. Practical implications offers actionable insights companies, facilitating development customized implementation roadmaps aligned organizational needs. Policymakers, associations suppliers may leverage these findings informed decision-making, collaborative educational initiatives product/service customization. Originality/value provides empirical evidence applicable examination TOE H framework holistic understanding collective influences on adoption. identification addresses evolving demands era.
