Papillary thyroid cancer (PTC) is the most common type of malignancy with an increased female incidence ratio. The specific traits X chromosome inheritance may be implicated in gender differences PTC predisposition. aim this study was to investigate association two X-linked genes, Forkhead Box P3 (FOXP3) and Protein Phosphatase 1 Regulatory Subunit 3F (PPP1R3F), predisposition disparity. One hundred thirty-six patients equal number matched healthy volunteers were enrolled study. Genotyping for rs3761548 rs5953283 (PPP1R3F) performed using polymerase chain reaction-restriction fragment length polymorphism assay (PCR-RFLP). methylation status FOXP3 assessed combined bisulfite restriction analysis (COBRA) method. SPSS software used statistical analyses. Gender stratification revealed that CA AA genotypes A allele variant are associated only females. Moreover, different observed up promoter locus between patients, carrying CC genotype, controls. Both associations explain higher females through reducing expression as reported immune related blood cells.
