Social behavior restrictions, social distancing, and promotion of non-pharmaceutical interventions (NPIs) during the COVID-19 pandemic have significantly reduced incidence many epidemic infections in world, especially children. Resurges infectious diseases vary depending on biological characteristics each pathogen differences culture, lifestyle, infection control mitigation policies by country or region. Although gapping disease outbreaks can cause children who were uninfected that period to become more susceptible after pandemic, resulting a slightly older age infected children, there are no conclusive reports suggest definite impact development children’s immune maturation its balance. Insufficient challenges early life may influence risk developing immune-mediated conditions such as allergies autoimmune later life, though evidence for this is still emerging. Future observational studies needed determine long-term gap caused well itself function balance
