The events of 7 October 2023 and the subsequent Iron Swords War have profoundly impacted Israeli society, leaving both Jewish Arab populations exposed to unprecedented levels violence uncertainty. This study examined roles trust in state institutions a sense coherence (SOC) as coping resources that may mitigate psychological distress following exposure such events. Four hundred seventy-one participants (69.9% Jewish, 30.1% Arab) filled out questionnaire addressed demographics, war exposure, institutions, SOC, mental-health outcomes. reported greater events, stronger less than participants. Levels different varied significantly between groups, with Jews expressing military Arabs reporting higher parliament, educational system, media. SOC protected against among groups.
