Enantiomeric Excess Bupivacaine in a Lavender Oil NLC Tested in a Melanoma Model: Prolonged Release and Anticancer Effect

Recent
studies
have
highlighted
the
potential
of
local
anesthetics
(LA)
as
adjuvants
in
cancer
treatment,
specifically
by
increasing
survival
rates
when
used
surgical
excisions.
However,
clinical
use
LA
is
restricted
due
to
their
systemic
toxicity.
The
development
drug
delivery
systems
could
address
this
issue
and
advance
utilization
these
molecules.
In
research,
we
explored
pharmacokinetics
(using
microdialysis
probes)
antitumor
properties
a
nanostructured
lipid
carrier
(NLC)
formulation
containing
commercially
available
enantiomeric
excess
form
bupivacaine
(BVCS75).
This
NLC
was
prepared
with
lavender
oil
(NLC-L-BVC),
an
excipient
inherent
properties.

compared

Pharmacokinetic

Objective
This
study
aimed

lidocaine

sepsis-induced
acute
lung
injury
and

Introdução:
O
tratamento
das
doenças
oncológicas
é
de
suma
importância
na
sociedade,
uma
vez
que
estas
apresentam
alta
taxa
prevalência
população.
As
formas
disponíveis
incluem
quimioterapia,
radioterapia,
cirurgia
e
terapia
hormonal,
sendo
a
opção
mais
associada
à
cura
melhor
sobrevida.
Pacientes,
passam
por
este
procedimento,
são
submetidos
analgesia,
pode
incluir
tanto
opióides,
quanto
anestésicos,
como
lidocaína,
cuja
administração
reduz
o
crescimento
tumoral
promove
apoptose
células
tumorais,
favorecendo
sobrevida
do
paciente.
Metodologia:
Revisão
integrativa
da
literatura
com
base
em
ensaios
clínicos
randomizados,
revisões
sistemáticas,
literárias,
estudos
coorte
caso-controle,
impacto
acadêmico
científico.
Foram
selecionados
11
artigos
publicados
entre
2018
2024.
Discussão:
estado
inflamatório
corpo,
provocado
pelos
procedimentos
cirúrgicos,
prejudica
resposta
antitumoral
organismo,
reduzindo
atividade
natural
killer
(NK).
A
lidocaína
demonstra
preservar
aumentar
NK,
além
inibir
aderência
proliferação
cancerígenas.
Esse
anestésico,
assim
outros
fármacos,
inibe
os
canais
sódio
cálcio,
necessários
para
disseminação
tumorais.
Como
observado,
infusão
diminui,
significativamente,
recorrência
dos
cânceres
colorretal
mama,
mas
não
apresenta
resultado
frente
ao
câncer
pâncreas.
Conclusão:
Diante
doença
tão
prevalente
população,
resultados
positivos
geral
livre
relação
aos
mama
colorretal.
