In Canada, high school sport is a popular activity used to foster the physical and psychosocial development of student-athletes. Despite popularity sport, social justice inequities (e.g., racism, ableism) continue shape student-athletes' experiences. Given that mission School Sport Canada (i.e., national governing body sport) facilitate "total student athletes through interscholastic sport", there need study way coaches think about act for justice. Thus, purpose was profile activism allyship Canadian coaches. Semi-structured interviews were conducted virtually via Zoom) with 28 Interview data subjected reflexive thematic analysis, which led two coach profiles based on continua model life skills teaching (Camiré, Citation2023). The coaching – normative approach general disinterest in justice) transformative proactive developed critical consciousness) are contrasted across four overarching themes (a) I'm (Not) Confident, I (Don't) Understand; (b) (Un)intentionally (Re)acting; (c) You See Excuses, Obstacles be Toppled; (d) (Dis)engaged (Non)autonomous Education. Findings have practical implications centering education, developing praxis related allyship, instigating systemic policy changes can make system safer, more equitable, inclusive all participants.

The issue of gender inequality has a significant impact on the sporting world, with range implications and consequences. In field coaching, women are confronted inequity throughout their careers, which frequently detrimental impact. To gain deeper insight into under-representation in sport framing Female Sport Coaching Training Programme (FEMCoach) project, an investigation was carried out to examine coaches' educational support. After reviewing scientific literature, survey developed aiming analyse needs youth sports coaches practice design coaching programmes that promote equity sports. present study collected analyzed data from 463 (45% 55% men) 24 different countries, competitive levels. Coaches completed 40-question online survey, divided seven topics: (1) sociodemographic data, (2) inclusion environment for practice, (3) coach professional activities, (4) menstrual cycle, hormonal contraception pregnancy/childcare, (5) barriers females sport, (6) courses, (7) differences. Some differences were found between men perceptions regarding or stigmas face practice. Most women's [80% (±5%)] approximately half men's [54% believe sometimes discrimination and/or mistrust most [78% (±6%)] majority [64% recognize opportunities genders. Considering presence topics related female biology education process [72% [63% considered they not approached enough, agreeing coaches, [92% (±3%)] [87% (±4%)], should be more expanded cover it. open-ended questions agreed can equality mentioned lack contents equity, identity biology. The emerging commitment to social justice promotion around the world has resulted in need develop a pedagogy rooted anti-oppressive practice (AOP) within youth sport research. AOP acknowledges importance of three key concepts: cultural competence, humility, and critical consciousness. Moving forward, as research continues evolve, promising possibilities may be possible more socially-just world.
